Another one-way tape: only disposals, and no conviction in any of them

This is a no-signal week. Every one of the 16 transactions filed is a disposal, there is not a single open-market purchase, and no watched actor filed a 13D or a new 13F position. The dollar leader on the tape is a false positive worth explaining: a cluster of large Alphabet-linked Form 4s turns out to be Google Ventures fund partnerships distributing shares of a portfolio company, Ethos Technologies (ticker LIFE), with Alphabet appearing only as an upstream reporting owner — these are code-D distributions at a $0 transaction price, not Alphabet insider selling. Strip those out and what remains is routine 10b5-1 activity: Meta's COO and AMD's CTO both selling on standing plans. Nothing here scores as accumulation, and nothing reveals a discretionary change of view. We flag every story below as weak; read the week as baseline, not signal. The dashboards continue to carry the Q1 2026 institutional 13F baseline (filed in May), with the next quarterly refresh due mid-August.
Google Ventures funds distribute an Ethos Technologies stake — not Alphabet selling weak
Five Form 4 lines this week show GV 2019/2021 fund partnerships disposing of Class A shares of Ethos Technologies Inc. (issuer ticker LIFE), reported jointly with Alphabet as an upstream 10% owner (events 0001168404-26-000031:0, 0001168404-26-000031:1, 0001168404-26-000029:0, 0001168404-26-000029:1, 0001168404-26-000029:2). The source filings carry transaction code D at a $0 per-share price, the pattern of a venture fund distributing a holding to its limited partners rather than an open-market sale. The automated fetch initially keyed off Alphabet's CIK and mistagged the issuer as Alphabet/GOOGL; the entity has been corrected to Ethos Technologies here. For a monitor that tracks founder and insider conviction, this is portfolio-fund plumbing and carries no read on either Alphabet or Ethos.
AMD CTO Mark Papermaster reported a 10b5-1 sale of 6,000 shares for about $3.3M (event 0000002488-26-000117:0). This is the same officer and the same standing-plan pattern seen last week; a single scheduled disposal is calendar-driven and is not a read on the chip cycle. It is included to keep the semiconductor picture complete, with the note that no accumulation, activist filing, or 13F add appeared in chips this week.
COO Javier Olivan filed two more 10b5-1 sales totaling roughly $2.4M of META across the two accessions (events 0000950103-26-011028:0, 0000950103-26-010694:0; totals aggregate all transaction rows in the cited filings). This is a continuation of a standing plan rather than a fresh decision, consistent with his selling in prior weeks. No offsetting purchase appeared from any watched actor.
software_internet — The only software/internet flow this week was Meta COO Javier Olivan's continued 10b5-1 selling (~$2.4M), with no offsetting buys and no new filings beyond those insider sales. Plan-based and one-directional, so it says little about conviction. Note that the large Alphabet-linked disposals on the raw tape were reclassified out of this sector: they are Google Ventures fund distributions of Ethos Technologies (LIFE), not Alphabet stock.
semiconductors — One seller, one name: AMD's CTO on a standing 10b5-1 plan (~$3.3M). No buys, no activist filings, no 13F adds in chips this week.
