semiconductors
Weekly commentary
2026-W35 — All semiconductor activity this week was AMD insider selling: CEO Lisa Su, CTO Mark Papermaster, EVP Forrest Norrod, and general counsel Ava Hahn together filed about $30.2M in 10b5-1 plan sales, the largest dollar total of any sector this week. No purchases, no 13D filings, and no institutional accumulation anywhere in the sector.
2026-W34 — The Q2 13F season shows broad, if uneven, accumulation across the chip stack: Micron drew a roughly 16x increase from Coatue, TSMC picked up net adds from three of four holders, and Applied Materials/Lam Research split between a clean add and a mixed picture. Broadcom is the clearest divergence — one manager doubling down while another exited entirely.
2026-W30 — One seller, one name: AMD's CTO on a standing 10b5-1 plan (~$3.3M). No buys, no activist filings, no 13F adds in chips this week.
2026-W29 — Two sellers, two names. The NVIDIA director's ~$186M discretionary trust sale dominates the dollar figure; AMD's CTO sale was a small scheduled disposal. No accumulation, no activist filings, no 13F adds in chips this week.
